Ask the customer if they are near a computer or can use their cell phone to access Biowave's Webpage:

If Yes

  1. Ask them to visit:  https://www.biowave.com/gotutorial/
  2. Ask them which body part they are treating; have them scroll down to the pad placement photos and videos.  The pad placement photos in the Quick Reference Guide (Step 3) and videos show specific pad placement for specific areas of the body.
  3. Ask the customer if they are comfortable to get started now, let them know they can call you back for additional questions. You can email them the Go Tutorial link or paste the Go Tutorial link in the chat box.

If No

  1. Ask if they have their Quick Reference Guide (QRG) handy (this card came in package)
  2. If they don’t have their QRG,  ask if you can email them the following links:
    1. Go Tutorial Page: https://www.biowave.com/gotutorial/

  3. Let them know they can call back for more help once they get to their computer and can access the email you are going to send them.

Additional Notes:

  1. Treating separate sides of body; ie both feet at once, or each side of one’s back.  “For best results we suggest that you treat each side of the body separately. For example, if you have pain in both shoulders, you should treat the right or left side first with both pads, and then switch to other side after treatment is completed.”
  2. Placement of Pads for post-operative pain: “Pads can be placed right next to the incision (1/2” away) and can go over the incision and resulting scar tissue once it is healed.  Often there are steri-strips over the incision, and these may need to be pulled back off of the clean skin area in order to get the electrode in the correct location.  Also, if there is Betadyne (it’s like an iodine disinfectant) on the skin at the location of where the pad needs to be placed, the Betadyne would need to be cleaned off first before the electrode is placed on the skin.”
