How does the device work, how will it feel? “The device delivers therapeutic stimulation straight to the source of pain deep within the tissue. How is BioWave different from TENS: “We get this question a lot, BioWave uses a patented, FDA cleared signal technology which goes through the surface of the skin to target your pain directly at the source, encompassing the pain nerve fibers and blocking the pain signals to the brain.
TENS units use low-frequency signals that cannot effectively pass through the many different layers of skin and as a result, TENS creates a sensation at the surface of skin, which MAY act as a distraction to the patient’s pain. When the TENS signal is removed, there typically is little residual pain relief to the patient.”
